“There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.”

~Robert Louis Stevenson

Robert Louis Stevenson isn’t the only well-loved Scottish writer (see George MacDonald, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sir Walter Scott, Robert Burns, J.M Barrie, J.K. Rowling…okay, she wasn’t born in Scotland, but Rowling lived here for many years and wrote much of the Harry Potter series in Edinburgh!) and after traveling around this wonderful country over the past week it’s easy to see the inspiration behind such literary talent! Scotland is a magical, romantic, and mythic land that certainly sparks the imagination!

  1. I love your pictures of Scotland! As one who is of Scotch-Irish ancestry, I have always wanted to visit both Scotland and Ireland one day! Thanks for sharing them.

    1. Thanks, Jack. I highly recommend both! They are magical places with rich cultures, fascinating history, and of course, both are very beautiful and green! 🙂 Hope you get to visit one day (check out Iceland air for flights from the U.S….they have the best deals I’ve seen!).
